Model for Delay Faults Based Upon Paths
Today we know of two types of delay faults: transition delay faults and path delay faults. This paper introduced the path delay fault model by extending the already known slow-to-rise/slow-to-fall model. Smith developed a simple algebra to model the propagation of transitions along paths. He recognized that the number of paths that might be considered is huge, and proposed a path selection criterion based on path slack. This paper did not consider test generation, but determining whether a path was tested, and does not directly reference the use of any tools.
