This was the first in a pivotal series of papers published by HP/Agilent on test effectiveness. Prior to these papers, empirical test data showing actual tester results was a rarity, so the data was considered extremely valuable and the sessions well-attended. Fortunately, a trend began and empirical silicon data is more commonplace today.
