A BIST Scheme for an SNR test of a Sigma-Delta ADC
Two advantages of BIST for digital designs are the reduction of the need for expensive test equipment and the placing of test generation and response measurement close to the circuit. These advantages are even more important for mixed-signal circuits. This paper describes the first mixed-signal BIST design, testing the signal to noise ratio for a Sigma-Delta analog/digital converter.
