QTAG: A Standard for Test Fixture-based IDDQ/ISSQ Monitors
The QTAG (Quality Test Action Group) activity was a valiant effort
initiated in 1993 to establish an industry-wide standard for IDDQ
testing and to provide the ATE industry with information and
specifications to enable them to develop and market a small integrated
IDDQ test monitor. Although this effort
did not result a standard or in the marketing of
IDDQ test monitors by ATE vendors
themselves, it stimulated important debate about critical issues,
including the value and future of IDDQ
testing. The QTAG activities did provide information and incentive
for the design and sales of aftermarket
IDDQ test monitors and these monitors
are being successfully used on a number of commercial ATE test and
diagnosis platforms in Europe and in the US.
